How It All Began
Sculptor and inventor Richard X. Zawitz created Tangle in 1982 in San Francisco, California. After earning a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Hawaii, Richard traveled through Asia, where he developed his inspiration and obsession with the form of curves – which ultimately led to the creation of Tangle.

For 40 years, people of all ages have known and loved this irresistible, twisty, bendy, and fidgety art toy! With over 350 million units sold, this year marks the 40th anniversary of Tangle Creations.

Our Mission
We want our products to inspire creativity, relieve stress, and bring joy to everyone who uses them. From kids in classrooms to professionals at work or home – Tangle stimulates the senses and sparks creativity through kinesthetic play!
